Actually, to correct myself, and to be absolutely fair there are actually five candidates in the race who have executive experience: Romney, Perry, Huntsman, Roemer and Johnson.
Our crop of candidates are nowhere near as weak as the media will have people believe.
I tend to agree with you. These so-called "debates" are distorting the process and the candidates. Under normal circumstances, some of these candidates would be gone but even the weakest can continue because all they have to do it hang on until the next "debate", or a free forum.
I have seen these folks when they have had 10 minutes to speak without responding to others' attacks. It puts them in a whole new light.
Who came up with this process of debate after debate? All it does is wait for someone to say something untoward and the rest, and the media pounces.
Actually Cain has executive experience too. He just hasn’t been a governor. Executives have many of the same tasks whether executives of a state, country or company. So if you’re talking governing that’s one thing but a CEO is pretty much the big kahuna of executives in the private sector.
