Via Business Insider. A few choice quotes. Larry Sabato:
To my memory, Perrys forgetfulness is the most devastating moment of any modern primary debate.
Rich Lowry:
That might be the most uncomfortable moment Ive ever witnessed in presidential politics.

Update: CNN, live in the spin room: Im sure glad I had my boots on because I sure stepped in it out there.
Update: WaPos Aaron Blake tweets: Top Perry fundraiser to me: Perry campaign is over. Time for him to go home and refocus on being Gov of TX.

Your job will be a little easier, now. I can’t tell if Perry is trying to be President or a Buddhist monk in Vietnam, circa 1963.
So, let me make sure I understand this right. To be a Texas governor, you have to be a certifiable idiot?
The thing that’s always made the Perry run for the GOP nomination hilarious for me is that during the first half of 2011, Perry tried to pretend that he would be a reluctant candidate. But it became obvious that he had been planning a run for the nomination since at least early 2010.
There is simply no point in Perry continuing.
“Your job will be a little easier, now. I cant tell if Perry is trying to be President or a Buddhist monk in Vietnam, circa 1963.”
Self-immolation - it would make funny cartoon: “And governor, what 3 departments would you eliminate...” ...and just a big flame in his place.
The big irony of the cartoon would be the forgotten department: Energy.
Nobody but us and a few other people watch these debates.
I disagree. 5 million people watched the debate, but 50 million have watched that moment when Perry ended his run. It has been shown on every news program and it is all over You Tube. Sorry he is forgiven, but now he has to pay the consequences and that means dropping out preferably today so that the rest of the group can get their message out. Because of Perry, Cain cannot be given time for his incredible debate he gave last night.
Momma always said "stupid is as stupid does"
