Amen, brother. I’d sooner tar and feather their RINO asses than look at them any more. One day, the collective “Tea Party” establishment will come to realize their origin is not based on peaceful protest against extreme injustice, but borne out of rebellion which eventually had to become violently final.

I'm trying to keep this level and even handed:

I've been against Newt because of his hopeless belief in his ability to work with the opposition. Don't much care about divorces and such so long as they stay outside of the governmental sand box.
In the event that the RNC succedes in sticking us with Romney, or with the Bush-shadow that is Perry, I'll need heavy sedation in order to vote at all.
Ron Paul is a stale joke that wasn't very good to begin with. Drugs would NOT get me to the voters booth.
Herman Cain could be a great VP or cabinet member, I'd vote for him in an instant if he was the GOP candidate. But (a) he'd be carrying Obambam's luggage overseas and, more critically, (b) now that he's been Clarence Thomas'd, there will be enough residual doubt to tank his chances for the nomination. (Reflecting on the Meg Whitman campaign and loss, Cain's "what took you so long" reply to Allwaysred was priceless but probably destined to fail.)
I love Michelle Bachman as a congressperson and Tea Party stalwart. But, she's failed to overcome the debate's relegating her to "other" and in that failure left herself in the second ranks (where the RNC wants her to be).
I won't address Huntsman, he's there as a filler; kind of like those little plastic lumps full of air that come in Fed Ex packages.
I actually like Santorum but think that he falls in the gray zone between career politician and engine of change. If that does not make sense, too bad, but I'd certainly vote for him.

Having said all that, Newt's debate performances have been awesome and Santorum has been pretty steady.
So I'm leaning to either Newt or Santorum and would be happy (and surprised) if Cain would accept he number two spot where he could develop some needed skills.

And the way he is responding is just not inspiring confidence.

What's been your experience in dealing with these kinds of accusations that makes you an expert on how he should deal with them?

Given the all out assault by the MSM, I think he's doing very will.....keep in mind, there's nothing he can say or do that will keep the media and folks like you out of his face as long as it creates readership from the headlines.

Readership, that's what it's all about..........

And to prove my point, it wasn't until Gingrich's daugher came out with her column last week denouncing the decade long accusation against Newt that he served his "dying" wife with divorce papers while she was on her death bed in the hospital that many folks here, myself included, were ever made aware of the truth.

We're political junkies here and do our best to keep informed and I believe we do a good job of it. The rest of the American population are only privy to what is fed them by the MSM and as far as Cain is concerned, all they are going to be fed are the accusations.........

One only has to look at the recent NPR article that was posted today regarding the latest accuser who is reported to be a Republican when in fact she is a contributor to the DNC........Think the NPR readership will ever be aware of the truth? And how many other MSM outlets will eventually pick up the story with the same lie?

I wish I could be enthused about any of the choices at this point but I’m not.

I also like Newt. Very impressive debating skills. He would make a decent VP. The adultery thing however is very damaging, as is the sofa/Pelosi issue, which i suspect most Americans will not forget.

Dont you remember how he changed his story three times the day these first came out?

Here's a photo of one of the latest accusers, Sharon Bialek, taken about a month ago at a Tea Party event.......Wonder why the smile on her face, was it from being groped in the crotch over a decade ago?.....Who knows, the thread is available.

No Newts is good Newts.

Few people, if any, have done as much economic harm to this country as Newt Gingrich. Perot’s 3rd party bid was just as much a referendum on Gingrich’s antics in congress as it was Bush balking on his “no new taxes” pledge. Running Gingrich at the top of the ticket would be disastrous for the GOP, IMO.

Anyone who just can’t help themselves from nominating an establishment prig would be better served voting for Romney. He’d at least stand a chance in the general election.

All I’ve got to say about this is, if Newt is unacceptable, then there is no one left for whom I can vote. Guess I will have to pass on voting for president this time around. Sarah, where are you?

Newt is not ‘unacceptable’. Those insisting on a purity test for every Republican candidate have someone in their mind to support who could not pass such a etst. what they’re doing is playing the ‘candidate by default’ game. What the fools do not realize is, such tactics destroy the momentum to throw the commie barry bassturd out of office. But they don’t care. They’re establishment Republicans and don’t really want to be winners in their selfrighteous tantrums. The ahllamrk of these default pleaders is their quick reverting to their purity tests for whomever you want to support if it is not their chosen one. The leftist media does the same thing, yet these establishment Republicans don’t seem able to see that they are mimicking the vile leftist.

Newt proposes good ideas but doesn’t deliver. Take a look at Rick Santorum. He’s a real Conservative with real ideas who knows how to get things done.
