stupid arguments by a person who does not understand a basic truth:

(Now, this is not true among those who pay NO taxes already, the 999 plan will start taxing the purchases made by gang bangers, drug pusshers and pimps!)

Without reviewing the evidence of countries which have adopted flat tax rates, and without comparing the 9-9-9 theory against flat rates in practice, frankly I find the comments here to be indicitive of the findings of the following IMF Working Paper The “Flat Tax(es)”: Principles and Evidence - IMF Working Paper: as "Discussion of these quite radical reforms has been marked, however, more by assertion and rhetoric than by analysis and evidence."

I find the assumption that a flat tax program is good for America, to be an assumption based more on dissatisfaction with the current system, which may turn out to be the best in the world, than upon the success (or failures) of the flat tax programs which have already been implemented.

Other findings:
