I encourage everyone to take a deep breath, and let the campaign chips fall where they may for a couple weeks, without passing judgement. We are watching political ping-pong right now.
We don't have facts on either side yet. Cain has been accused. Perry is now being accused by Cain. Romney is now being accused by Perry. Will Romney turn around and accuse Bachmann or Santorum?
Time will bring everything out in the open that we need to know. We are all guilty of jumping to conclusions without any facts. The media is playing us, and we are letting them.
It has only been 3 days since the Cain story first broke. Let's give it 2-3 weeks for all the players to air their dirty laundry before we come to any conclusions.
Can we do that? Why the rush to judgement? Is the election tomorrow? Nope. So let's let all the candidates muddle through this, while we sit back and watch. Let's be thoughtful and measured in our judgement, as we live in our glass houses. Isn't that what Jesus would do? :-)
Never posted a vanity thread before, but I'm saddened to watch FReepers tear each other's throats out and judge various candidates on the slightest of mis-steps. How about a little forgiveness and patience, to see how it all plays out in the next few weeks?
No thanks. I was hoping for a brilliant, courageous Conservative nominee with a Conservative core who lived by Conservative principles. I guess it was just too much to ask for. A truly pathetic bunch of amateurs!
I demand a trial before I am declared guilty.
My doppleganger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent advise!
Cain may be an amateur politically yet if he is smart enough, combined with being in the right place at the right time, this too shall pass.
Read?
Has no one taken a moment to give you some remedial grammar? "Your" is a possessive pronoun. Use it to indicate ownership; as in, "What is your major malfunction?"
Use "you're" when you mean to say, "you are" As in, "You're going to thank me later."
None of us knows who leaked this story. None of us knows what was in the settlement agreement, and thats the way it should be - and stay.
I believe Cain. But even if I didnt, we dont have any facts. We need to stop calling him (everyone) guilty without facts. Thats all.
OK...I have to ask...Can you give me a name or two of who might fit your requirements...It’s too late now but would be nice to know for the future
OK, not bad for a first vanity.

I am shore that you where out a key bored or too correcting everyone's grammar here at FR. Sorry, Free Republic.
Thank you sir.
The voice of reason.
We who inhabit FR need to reflect on what has been happing with us lately. We have those who post here who are constantly looking for a way to divide us.
We are approaching the most important election in my lifetime and we should not let the deceivers who intend to destroy this nation succeed.
Thank you, my FRiend.
Newt is on the wrong team. He is the smartest in the race, but his actions (supporting AGW etc) have indicated he has sold out to the Globalist elitists. He cannot be trusted with power.
Remember, these types of elections have on occasions been decided in the Convention. None of the announced. It has happened.
Actually, I’m undecided. Cain or Gingrich.
But I want to let the whole process play out and have ALL candidates vetted properly.
If they can’t handle 1 year in the fire on the campaign trail, then they can’t handle 4 years in the White House.
Yes, I have that concern with Newt. Everything from his support for "combating AGW" with Pelosi and that ridiculous couch ad, to his recent mindboggling stupid attack on the Paul Ryan budget (which virtually every House Republican had just courageously voted for) that he called "right wing social engineering". Newt is very smart, but seems incapable of staying focused.
Problem is, I can not generate even the slightest bit of excitement for anyone else in the race. Mitt can't be trusted on anything, Perry has so far been unable to communicate coherently, I don't think Cain is anywhere near ready to run a serious presidential campaign, Bachmann just doesn't come off well, Santorum lost his home state by 18 points in his last election, Ron Paul is a kook, Huntsman should be running in the Democratic primary, etc. I almost feel like Newt, even with all his flaws, is the only real option at the moment.
Remember, these types of elections have on occasions been decided in the Convention. None of the announced. It has happened.
Yeah, I don't buy it. One of these candidates currently in the race will emerge and win. If you are thinking Palin or someone is going to ride in and win a brokered convention, well, I think your dreaming. Like it or not, these are our candidates.
There has not been a brokered selection since the modern communications age, but it has happened. If the Republican Party nominates Mitt, it is finished. Might as well drive the last nail in the coffin. Would the "leadership" care? I am not sure. It would however be an immediate guarantee of an effective 3rd Party, and a probable Obozo re-election. (very very bad)
It doesn’t matter. A few globalist, anti-American constituents will only allow their own socialist politicians to be offered for nomination anyway.
You’re (you are) welcome.
I’ve been fortunate to have talked with Michelle twice, one-on-one. Her eyes, as opposed to being “empty”, are beautiful and they sparkle when she talks.
