Based on a suggestion from a local blogger to look into political donors on the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association for potential ties to presidential campaigns, I have attempted to identify anyone privy to inside information about the National Restaurant Association who also has recent ties to any presidential campaign.
According to the October 2011 FEC report for ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT INC. a gentlemen named Steven C. Anderson gave $1,000.00 on July 14, 2011. FEC search function here.
Steven C. Anderson is the same gentlemen who took over the helm as Chief Executive Officer at the National Restaurant Association (after a brief intermission) upon Herman Cain's departure in 1999. As CEO it is highly likely he would have been privy to details of litigation and threats about litigation from the immediately previous tenure of Herman Cain.

Hey Mitt. Remember when your hidden earpiece went hot at the debate with McCain?...yep, it’s me, I’m the one who prayed that you would be exposed as the shallow farce that you are. Fall Mitt..fall.
Oh, Mitt didn’t personally dig up this character assassination on Cain. But I’d dig around and see if Karl Rove and Bill Kristol weren’t the instigators of this.
If any of Romney’s hatchet men were involved, he should be thrown out of the party. Those are Democrat dirty tricks.
But how does all this fit the moonbat narrative that Herman Cain is nothing more than a stalking horse for Romney?
First, I’m not a Mitt Romney supporter. But who has the most to gain out of this accusation? Isn’t it a bit too obvious that whomever made this accusation is doing it in the heat of the Republican primaries where it will be assumed by many (see above) that it came from the Romney campaign? Why does all of the media want Romney? Because they think Obama can beat him. Why screw with Cain? Because they FEAR him. So get it out there now and hope it knocks out both Romney (conservative disgust that he would do such a thing) and Cain (general disgust that he would be a “harasser”) and then use it next November.
Romney has always had a reputation for “playing dirty.” We have a talk radio host here in Indiana who is familiar with the Romney campaign. She states that she would never vote for Romney because of his dirty tactics. Cain will still get our vote. The media needs to talk about jobs....not this crap.
“EVen worse....Richard Marriott was former CEO of NRA.
Richard Marriotts Father J. Willard Marriott was BEST FRIEND OF ROMNEYS FATHER.
Mitt is named after J. Willard.
Mitt served on Board of Marriott hotels.”
Shocking, i tell you: shocking!!!
The Marriotts owned a restaurant chain for many many years. The J Willard Marriotts are Mormons.
Which Marriott is Mitt Romney named after? How do you get Mitt out of Willard as in J Willard Marriott? Isn’t it more likely that he was named after his father’s cousin Milton “Mitt” Romney, 19251929 quarterback for the Chicago Bears?
Does anyone here recall yesterday’s thread that this “story” may have come from some Arizona operative of the Perry campaign?
But what about the possibility of creating internecine warfare amongst the Republican candidates by Obama operatives. They are the ones who fear a Cain candidacy the most. If Cain runs will Obama still get 95% of the Black vote?
The Democrats hate any principaled conservative, and i’m sure the thought of a Cain candidacy has them extremely worried.
Which lawyer?
His name is Willard Mitt Romney.
Her lawyer!
Sorry. Too many lawyers involved. :)
“Lawyer doesnt even have the file.
ITS GONE, BABY, GONE!
12 YEARS OLD AND HE DOESNT EVEN RECALL HANDLING IT.”
Dont bet on it. Do you remember the words... “It’s not the fact there is no evidence it is the seriousness of the charge that matters”
We will hear this again and soon...
Ahhh...OK. I thought they were saying the guy who donated $1k had ties because he donated $1k.
It isn’t Romney, it is Perry that is to blame for the smears on Cain.
