Well, I advise you not to go on Perry threads if you want to continue having any respect for the Cain supporters who post there.

I posted a thread today, a relatively unbiased article from the Dallas morning News talking about the judges Perry has appointed to the Texas Supreme Court. He’s appointed more judges than any other governor.

In Texas, judge are elected and serve 6 year terms (good idea for the Supreme Court in my opinion — might make it ten years, but not life).

The governor can appoint a judge to fill a seat that is vacant but that judge will have to run for election eventually.

Some of the criticism was that the judges he appointed were too conservative and too pro-business and various other complaints but many were favorable also.

The thing I found fascinating about it was that it showed Perry’s record.

A record ! Amazing. You may not like everything Perry does but you can look up and see what he’s done about every issue.

Cain has no record at all. We just don’t know, do we?

I think that may be the attraction for some people ... a nice blank slate where you can put all your hopes and dreams ... but that could be dangerous.

Anyway, immediately a certain person - familiar to all - pops on that thread whining because Perry didn’t appoint some judge this person liked. The particular judge ran twice for election after that and lost both times and this poster blamed Perry for it! Hah.

Herman Cain was Clinton's Campaign Manager

Not really his campaign manager, but the inconvenient truth is coming out about the unvetted Pizza dude, Mr Mamma Bear Cain, that he supported Bill Clinton in 1992.

If Cain was Rick Perry, that would mean that Cain was Clinton's campaign manager. But I digress.

Clearly, Cain's conversion didn't come until 1996 or so when he joined forced with The Great Jack Kemp. But still, Cain's transformation came at least five years after Perry's and 10 years in life after Perry's conversion.

If I hear the Al Gore smear again, and I am sure I will, just remember that Herman Cain lives in a glass house.

How can it be that the "only pure conservative in the GOP race" supported Bill Clinton?

Read about Cain supporting Clinton here.

I actually don’t mind Perry.

I’m just on this thread, defending Cain. :D

Are you serious?

Apart from his record in business, which, yes, can be looked up and upon which people who worked with him can comment, Cain has a huge archive of weekly columns and talk radio transcripts that detail his thoughts, philosophy and proposed action on the full array of political issues.

We've probably never had a candidate in history whose actual analyses are archived in a contemporaneous way.

You're statement would be like saying Rush Limbaugh had no record from which we could evaluate how he would approach problems facing our country.

FACEPALM.
