After all, it was the administration of a Republican President, Richard Nixon, which established the Environmental Protection Agency in the first place.
So, then it shouldn’t matter if a Republican President DISBANDS the EPA!

Fairly unusual for someone in an agency to take on Congress like this.

If EPA funding is cut, there will be more rapes and murders!

I gotta side with Stossel on this issue. A correct application of government is to ensure that business and industry don't poison the environment because there is no real financial incentives for business not to.
Conservatives should be in favor of SENSIBLE environmental regulations that don't hamstring business or favor one industry over another.

I thought government bureaucrats weren’t allowed to lobby or make political statements. Perhaps I’m confusing what should be with what is.

Since the beginning of this year, Republicans in the House have averaged roughly a vote every day the chamber has been in session to undermine the Environmental Protection Agency and our nations environmental laws. They have picked up the pace recently.. Just doin' their elected function.
