I fell desperately in love with her during her first scenes with "Shepherd Book" in the first episode of Firefly. In the commentary, they say that Joss had Jewel gain about 15 or 20 pounds for the role, but she wasn't able to gain weight for her role in Serenity. I thought she looked rather drawn in that. But I still LOVE Kaylee, and found myself getting angry with Mal when he was mean to her in "Shindig."
