Palin’s law firm is serving notice to Random House that they want to see the emails between McGinness and Random House to see if their is anything actionable.
Palin will let her lawyers handle this, and she has more than enough money from her book sales and speaking fees to pay the attorneys.
Mainly, she’s sending a message.
It’s win/win for her, especially since McGinness basically admitted he couldn’t source these rumors, but Random House printed them anyway because “time ran out” and the book had to go to press, regardless of whether the contents had a shred of truth to them or not.
Why is this so hard for people to understand?
They sound like the same people that said Palin couldn’t serve as VP and raise a child at the same time.
Palin could serve as President, juggle several chain saws, raise her children and still have time to track, hunt, kill, field dress and cook dinner for her family.
Actually, what they are saying is there may be a lawsuit and as such it would be illegal for them to destroy any evidence. You can't just go fishing in a companies records absent a specific legal claim and ensuing discovery.
