It’s also a right to protect the citizens from a tyrannical government. If the government takes our arms we as sovereign beings have no way to protect ourself from government cohesion of the most extreme kind. We may not be there yet but we are getting very close to a tipping point.
Exactly right, and that’s why Cain’s response should be taken very seriously. He doesnt seem to fully appreciate the nature of the Federal Government and its relationship to the states. This defect is quite severe when we are discussing electing the nation’s chief executive, charged with executing the laws of the land. If Cain doesn’t understand this fairly straightforward concept, where else is he intellectually and politically lacking?
