An argument can be made that the enthusiasm poll is more important than polls showing absolute approval/disapproval numbers. For example, Rasmussen shows Obama with 46% approval, which seems high. But if a lot of polled who say they approve of Obama aren’t motivated to actually vote, than his standing is actually worse than the approval numbers would indicate.

That’s why I like to see the “intensity” and “recognition” numbers in a poll.

Those are the ones who will vote (come hell or high water) and donate time and money.

I have always believed that his brain-dead base of worshippers will turn out for the Won’, but a number of them are unemployed...a far cry when most of my unemployed acquaintances had really good jobs under the regime of their hated George W Bush. And now they are jobless.

I have no sympathy for them. They fell for that hopeychangey garbage’. Like dogs getting all excited at shiny things and start panting...
