Ok yunz all got me going...it's my day off...Mrs p6 just went shopping so I can reminisce.

Hey I can't help it we were the first family on the street to have a TV. Ohhh...and unlike now the neighbors all used to come over most nights and watch Dumont TV on the TINY screen and afterward we'd all gather around the old upright piano while Grandma played.

Need I mention there was some liquor involved - not much really - but we all had a great time!

I actually miss those days, but with neighbors today not much.

Gale Storm had a great voice. I can still remember her singing, “Wayward Wind” although she may have not been the one to make it famous.

She gave up her career and married...ummm...what's his name from Hawaii 5-0...James MacArther? Son of Jane....ahhh...Helen Hayes??? I know he was "boy" in some Tarzan movies.

Good Lord I'm old....sigh.

And why has no one mentioned Eva Gabor on one of my all time faves "Green Acres?"
