It was like all of Congress were in a giant principal's office, held captive as they were lectured for breaking some rule nobody cared about.

I didn't watch the speech last night, but I saw a blurb of it this morning on the news, and that was my impression as well.

IMHO, it was not even like a principal’s office.

It was like an older brother acting as if he still had to lecture his younger siblings - even though the he and the sibling are well on in their years, the siblings are all more accomplished and the pontificating and scolding older brother is bizarrely fresh out of re-hab, acting school or a coma.

It was just plain bad, poorly given, and embarrassing. A ridiculous self-congratulatory party for the agrandizement of the political swells.

I even think Obama knows he stinks.

I wouldn’t have used lectured to describe the speech it was more like reprimanded. Who the he!! does this guy think he is talking to? First he demeans the Supreme Court, second he slanders the citizens of this Country and last night he publicly reprimanded our elected Representatives. The man is a total psych-O. And why can’t he look the Country in the eye when he speaks? I’m getting tired of looking at the ear view.
