You need to learn your Texas political history better. While LBJ was a flaming lib, John Connally was a conservative Democrat when he was governor (mid/late 60s) at a time when there was virtually no organized GOP in the state. He was as conservative as any governor before or since. He later switched to the GOP and had a brief run for prez.

He is also credited with developing Texas as a tourist destination. So, if you mean to compare Goodhair with John Connally, that would be a plus for Goodhair.
