Not all the Moors came from North Africa and the Middle East. There's a population surrounding the Mediterranean that's been getting pretty mixed up for many thousands of years.

Magolis (McWallace) was the Spanish ally of Carthage in the Punic Wars. I'd imagine he didn't tan well at all. But, there were other earlier Semitic settlers all over the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts.

I’d describe Messicans as a mixture of Spanish (Christians with lots of Moslim patterns acquired during 700 years of dhimmitude) and Central American Indian cultures.

Never forget the cannibal part of the Indian cultures.
