The last time conservative Republicans controlled the three branches of Government with a substantial majority Coolidge was President. “ <<<<

Excuse my rabbit trail here...
The last time conservative Republicans controlled the three branches of government in TEXAS was....er, NOW, since Rick Perry. Someone tell me where else that’s true? Someone tell me how many state’s, even with conservative governor’s, best TEXAS in jobs? Exhibit A is TEXAS, under Rick Perry.

Rush is right. Perry is a conservative. Like no other.

Republicans control the three branches here in Florida and we are seeing some significant changes so I know that it is possible....it just needs to be the right kind of Republicans...not RINOs...and if we vote out Bill Nelson and give Marco Rubio some support Florida will really take off.

‘Someone tell me where else that’s true?’

It is true in Florida, after last November.

Perry has not had much to do when it comes to jobs in Texas. Texans take care of that. Perry did sign a bill that put an income tax on businesses (franchise tax). The truth is that the Texas executive is not extremely powerful. The power lies with the Lt. Gov is more powerful. Except when there are special sessions and then the gov. sets the agenda. That is why Perry has had so many special sessions. He can also do executive orders but as you can see from the Gardasil mess that power is only good if the public and the legislature is agreeable.
