Rush was very worried about Hillary. I would argue that Obama isn’t necessarily better than Hillary; however, I think Hillary would have operated much more smoothely. Obama lacks the self discipline and finese to pull off a lot of his goals. Hillary is devious, calculating and doesn’t have Obama’s need to be “in your face.”

>>It’s going to be Romney vs. Kenyan Mchopeychange.<<

.
Does that mean that the GOP has accepted 0’s eligibility for POTUS even though there is every indication the his old man was never a US citizen and there still is no evidence that 0 was born on US soil?

Romney will be the Nominee, you are correct. Folks like Karl Rove and others on FoxNews are convincing the mind numbed robots (Yes, I’m talking about conservatives here) they Romney is the only one with a chance. Bachmann has headaches and is on her period 24 x7 according to Rove and “Her medical background should be looked at” a direct quote from Rove.

The establishment will pick the candidate, I told you folks back when that the nominee process would make sure a RINO won before a conservative state ever had a chance, it will come true. Palin knows this and will not run, running and losing is worse than not running, she knows this too. She still has a voice if she doesn’t run, but knows damn well the people don’t pick the candidate or have any say in the true American process.

I'm still surprised a 2001 FReeper is asking this question. It's not an acronym. It is the term used when a poster is banned or suspended (for idiotic posting). Here's an example:

It Appears That No Brain Has Been Zotted

Usually accompanied by lightning strikes (hence the word "Zot")

GOP nominee for what? Caterer for the Log Cabin Republican annual meeting?

Don’t forget how Rove treats the constituancy’s choice when “his” pet RINO loses a primary...

Dude ... seriously?

You've been here since 2001, and don't know "zot"???

Oh, well ...

"Zot" is the sound of an anteater eating an ant in the comic strip "BC"

OK, here's the way it works.

We have a bevy of candidates because no one has voted yet. When the votes start getting counted for real, we will see who is real and who the pretenders are. The big factor will be money. There will be a few that receive so few votes, they are too embarrassed to move on to New Hampshire and how much money can a candidate raise if they get 1% of the vote?

After New Hampshire, we go to S. Carolina. The process repeats. At that time we will be at 3-4 serious candidates. At that point it's all about money. They can't just crap money into a hole with under double digit polls unless they have their own money, unless, of course, they are Romney or Trump. Even then, they have to decide if wasting their own money is worth it. After 4-5 states have rejected you, why continue just because some western or southern state may get behind you? We will be down to the top 2 or maybe 3 in 5-6 states. After that it becomes embarrassing to remain in the running and the money will have completely dried up.

Right now is the time to support your favorite candidate. They may not last another couple of months if you don't. As an example, Duncan Hunter was my man the last go round. He didn't last the first couple of cuts. I think he would have done well in Texas, but I never got the chance to vote for him. IMHO, Perry and Palin must get in sooner rather than later or they will have lost contributors to the other candidates. If you sent $100 to Bachmann, would you then turn around and send $500 to Palin just because you wanted her in the first place? Many ordinary people don't have that kind of money. I don't think Palin will get Goldman Sachs money or GE money, so it will be $25 checks from Tea Partyer's. Perry could get some Wall Street money, but who knows if they would support someone who prays in public? As far as votes, I don't think Romney will get more than 30% when some of the "also ran's" have to get out due to money. If Pawlenty gives up, will they switch to Romney or someone else? They didn't like Romney in the first place, so I don't think so. Some second tier candidates will surge when Pawlenty, Santorum, Newt, and others start to back out and their backers switch. If you liked Santorum, will you switch to Romney or Bachmann? That will be another percent or two to Bachmann.

This is where Perry and Palin can play spoilers. They just split the vote more to make Romney look like the front runner for a longer time. I like Palin, but if she waits till Sept. to get in, many will have already put signs in the yard and sent a check. She will raise mucho money, but it's splitting the money someone else needs. Obama will have a $billion from the unions and the commie party. You can't fight that with $20 million or even $50 million. In any scenario, though, Romney won't get the nod, IMHO. When it finally gets to a two person race, Romney will get Romney votes and his challenger will get everyone else. Romney will lose and everyone will be talking about "peaking too soon".

Disclaimer,.... I will vote for Palin if given the chance. I will only vote for Romney if their just isn't another choice. I will not stay home because I ALWAYS vote for someone. I haven't missed a vote, primary or otherwise, since Nixon. For some here saying they will stay home, I hope you enjoy another 4 years of Obama. We have a 2 party system and that is the system we have to work with. That is the principle the Tea Party took trying to take over the Republican establishment. If we get mad and go somewhere else, we end up with the Rockefeller Republicans and lose for another 60 years. Republicans lost until the Christian conservatives joined the Republicans. We can overwhelm the Dems if the Christians stay and the Tea Party stays. If we switch to Libertarian or Taxpayer party, the Dems will crush America. That's just the way it works.

We don’t need or want an establishment candidate. Time for someone who is not from it and should be of the caliber like President Reagan. Therefore, anyone who belong to a country club or got their degree from an East Coast ivy league type of school need not apply. In fact anyone from the East Coast need not apply !

You have no real evidence on which to base your (slimy) speculation.

Comparisons to what was going on in 2007 with other people are not viable.

This is not 2007.

The history of ‘zot’:

One day the forum was being plagued by a truly egregiously offensive troll.
Well, the mod had enough of him finally, as this weas back in the forum stone ages where we had to hand html our posts and sometimes even had to shut off broken italics, and the mod banned the troll, and posted the anteater from the comic BC by Johnny Hart with the written sound effect of ‘Zot!’

WEll, that was how ‘zot’ was born.
Along came the cult of the Viking Kitties, and the mods found a new pass-time by feeding thr trolls to the kitties first before banning the troll.
And there was much feasting on sloths, and antelopes, and plastic flamingoes, and mailmen, and much rejoicing was to be had.
But, my amnners are stuned because you may not know what a beeber is!

“Romney will be the guy.”

You’re living in a parallel universe. This is not 2008. Willard will not be the nominee.
