i wrote the guy when it broke expressing my disappointment with his hateful comments….I got this back.

i agree that i went too far — i said something really stupid, really hateful, and it was something i instantly regretted. i apologized right away (http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archives/2011/07/15/an-apology), before anyone yelled at me about it. and i’m apologizing you too, personally.

i certainly don’t wish all Republicans dead. even at that moment, i didn’t. it was a flubbed expression of disgust — and it’s no defense, but... the last time i wished someone dead on a live mic, i was on the radio, and i was talking about Bill Clinton. then, i got a deserved visit from the Secret Service. today, an angry email from you — which i deserved just as much.
