I think what popped this out into the air was the Giffords shooting. Agents were scared to death that the shooter might have been using one of the walked guns. So they’re HERE too. Got to be wondering about the two ranchers that were murdered as well.

ATF’s Lost ‘Fast and Furious’ Weapons Show Up In Arizona Crimes

“The ABC15 Investigators uncovered documents showing guns connected to at least two Glendale criminal cases and at least two Phoenix criminal cases also appear in the ATF’s Suspect Gun Database, a sort-of watch list for suspicious gun sales.”

ATF officials recently testified before Congress about the case strategy, in which agents knowingly allowed firearms to be sold to criminals in Mexico. The operation was meant to help lead the ATF to high-ranking drug lords in the country, but many of the sold weapons were lost in the process. One official estimated that as many as 1,800 unrecovered firearms may now be on the streets of Mexico.

During his Congressional testimony, ATF Special Agent Peter Forcelli said, “I believe that these firearms will continue to turn up at crime scenes on both sides of the border for years to come.”
