“Exactly. Stabilize them, then transport the criminal to the closest border town—with the bill to the nearest consulate.”

I must disagree. The Messican Government, either through their consulates or in any other way, will not pay those bills. After all, Messicans are going to be Messican.

As for allowing the illegal Messican to die on the street outside the hospital - what do you think happens in Messico?

More to the point, what do you think Messico does with non-American patients presenting at a Messican hospital with an emergency and no money?

Actually, I would appreciate any hard data from a reliable source regarding these issues. It is always possible there might be some treaty agreement which our neighboring nations to the south actually follow.

Maybe.

Perhaps.

http://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/trend-lines/1021/where-does-the-u-s-get-its-oil

We get as much oil from $@+!*^! Mexico as we do from the Saudis. You know, the Arabs who have cars made out of solid silver, who purchase western women for their collections and build snow resorts in the desert?
But Mexico can’t afford to feed, educate and medicate ten (10%) per cent of their population, so their lower level adminisitrators all the way to El Presidente himself encourage them to come here illegally, and then they break our criminal laws ... I take that back, Mexican officials give their unwanted “useless eaters” a first-rate education: in how to use our welfare system.

Again—run up a tab for them, document it and then present it. If they don’t pay—say, with oil in kind—then garnish assets. `Nationalize’ Pemex.
But we don’t see that happening do we? The federal government pusues billions in moneys paid over to Mexican nationals with less energy then they pursue one American student over student loans. They threaten us with more dire consequences under federal law for copying a DVD rental then foreign lawbreakers for violating our immigration and naturalization laws.
What we do see is our Pretender in Chief selling off our stategic oil reserve ....

But, you say, this `paying the piper’ approach would require invading Mexico? As La Raza says, the border is an artificial construct. Their army is constantly taking a wrong turn at Albuquerque (”!Lo siento, ja ja ja!”) So it wouldn’t realy be an invasion so much as a kinetic suit on a judgment.

As it is now Mexican nationals here (illegally, we have to keep reminding our government of that, don’t we?) show up at our grocery stores, emergency rooms and, yes, at American employers with their hands out offering to work for subsistence wages, and they get paid.
Isn’t it enough that most good-paying factory jobs have already been `out-sourced’ to Mexico and the Pacific rim? It’s no wonder we’re about an eyelash away from a `D’ credit rating. Thanks George W. Bush and Barack “Whateverthehellyourrealnameis” Obama for taking this country right to the precipice!
The last revolution in this country was begun by merchants against landed aristocracy in this country and in England. The coming one will be fought by Americans who have had enough of the `aristocracy’ that took the place of royalty and their federal stooges selling this great country like an estate auction for their own gain.
