The holy grail of politics for liberals is the Supreme Court.
The thought of Sarah Palin anywhere near the process of selection of SC justices is just more than the liberal sensitivities can endure.
That’s part of it. But the left knows they have overreached and woken up the nation to the fact that the ruling class is operating outside the limits of the constitution. If a true conservative gets elected with a majority in the senate and the house, along with majorities in the State Legislatures and Governorships, and has the power to appoint federal judges and Cabinet Officials, it is much easier to follow the constitution than to work your way around the constitution in order to contravene the plain meaning of the constitution. A true conservative, as opposed to a compassionate conservative, could do more damage to the causes of the left than they could stand.
