My Dad had a Flying A Gas Station in Altadena on North Lake Ave. A lot of our family friends lived in Alhambra and Pasadena.
On those wonderful Summer evenings my (much older) Brother used to take me to the In and Out Burger and Bobs Big Boy, cruising around in his Candy Apple Red 56 Chevy or his 32 Ford 5 Window Deuce Coupe, (that he still owns BTW).
As the song says, those were the days. I thought I was the coolest ten year old boy in the world hanging out with my Brother and his very understanding girlfriend. Or it could have been that my Mom told him to take me with him so she could get rid of me for a few hours. LOL
I'll have to call my Old Geezer Brother and thank him for putting up with me back then.
