Once I realized that Zero’s parents were not the Kenyan 0bama or Stanley, things really fell into place.
Who does Zero look like? Malcom X. MX was traveling quite a bit during the time frame of possible conception and birth in the Middle East and Africa. FN has quoted something from MX - I think a letter - about “something he started in motion which will not be stopped”. To me it sounds as though he could be referring to a son.
Zero doesn’t just resemble MX physically, but apparently gestures, speech and certainly facial expressions. That was mentioned at length at least a couple of years ago, people were wondering if Zero had studied movies of MX etc.
But it’s interesting that often blood related people do have such similarities - even if they have never met; for instance, twins separated at birth, or a child and parent separated.
If MX had a son born in Africa or the Middle East, and was brought to HI, he would certainly need (a) US citizenship and (b) a name which was not “son of Malcolm X and a foreigner”.
MX hung with commies, Frank Marshall Davis was a commie, looks like the Dunhams were fellow travellers at least, all the people MX hung with in Africa were commies. Chicago was (is!) stinking with commies.

Exactly - fiction, with a pinch of truth here and there for flavor to make it seem real. They even admit that many of the characters are “composites”!
But still so many people just assume that the main facts are true - the parents, for instance.

I think it was because the woman was Ann S Obama, living with the Dunhams. She might have been the same girl the kenyan is seen with at the Nachmannofs, identified as ANNE/USA.
She might have ended up being ‘the wife in the Philippines from whom he is separated...’

That’s a real mouthful, isn’t it? It’s possible that Ann S Obama was the student at the University of Hawaii who was enrolled from FALL 1960...she also attended Russian classes with the kenyan.
But she wasn’t Stanley Ann Dunham.
And the Seattle address was for ANNA OBAMA. The student who attended the U of WA was probably the same woman.
She was in Seattle when Mary baby-sat in January 1961. She commenced at the U of WA in September, when her child was seven months of age.
Yes, there was a youtube out there last year from some preacher (don’t think it’s Manning) that does a brilliant job of morphing the two and their relatives.
The boy with the widow’s peak grew up to be Roman Obama. The smaller boy is Zero - the guy in the White House.

David is a fiction, just like much of the material and circumstances and relationships in Dreams.
