The Coupon Whisperer: Combat Roach Killer---$1.19!!!

It's that time of year when the cockroaches come out in force. Fortunately there is a really inexpensive way for you to get Combat Cockroach Killer in the syringe form which dispenses gel pellets that the roaches eat and ultimately kills them.

Here is how to do this deal IF you live in a Publix area: Get the Publix Yellow sheet and clip out the Combat store coupons for $3 off. Then go to the section of your Publix where they sell insecticide and take note of the "Blinkie" which dispenses coupons. Right now the Blinkies are dispensing $1 Combat product coupons. Now be sure you grab the boxes of Combat with a picture of the syringe on the front that look like the one above since it is selling for $5.19 each. Stack the two coupons together and you deduct $4 total leaving you a net cost of only $1.19 per box. A real cheap way of combating (pun intended) your roaches.

Thanks for the clarification.....by the way, boric acid isn’t the least dangerous; in fact it’s often used as an eyewash. You’ll also find it at the drugstore.

This week at our Publix you can get Skippy Peanut Butter BOGO for $2.49 but if you look on the jar there is a $1 coupon taped to it so it brings the final cost down to $1.49 or about 75 cents per 16.3 oz jar. The coupons are also good for Helmann’s Mayonnaise which gets the price down to about $2 per 22 oz jar.

I don’t live in a Publix area and I have never had a roach. Carpenter ants, on the other hand abound in my area. I have to pay the exterminator every spring and fall to keep them away from my home.

Yes, body wash works fine for shampoo. I pulled out all those old little samples and hotel sizes and am using them up. They’re good for when your current shampoo isn’t getting it done - switch out a time or two with one of the hotel sizes and then back to your regular shampoo.

I keep a container of boric acid under the sink and whenever I see creepy crawlies of any type it’s so easy to sprinkle a little powder around. I’ve had the container forever.

“I don’t really want to have a lot of boric acid around.”

Ah, but you most likely do have a lot of boric acid around. It’s found in eye washes and contact lens solutions, dishwashing and laundry products, bath and beauty products, baby stuff, etc.

wouldn't that be about 25 cents per bottle? Use the $1 coupon on EACH skippy.

okay this has nothing to do with bug spray but.... our local grocery store had turkey bacon on sale 10 for $10. Which means each package is $1. I had a coupon for 65cents off one package. I scored 1 package of turkey bacon for 35 cents. They also had their Hamburger Helper on the 10 for $10 and since i had a coupon for 75cents off 3, I got 3 boxes for 75 cents each. This seems pretty good to me.

I get them in my kitchen window every spring, I put out the little ant baits in between the inside and outside window, and with in a few days no more ants. For outside I use 10% 7 Dust is the best product to use. I use it on my green bean plants, when I notice holes in the leaves.

They climb up the columns of the house to get into the gutters. So I dust the base of the columns with the 7 dust.

We have more of a problem with the saw palmento bugs flying into the house. Find them belly up in the morning.

The coupon is $1 off when you buy 2, not 1. Same with the mayonnaise, $1 off 2 jars.
