AUSTIN -- The power of individual Texans put itself on display this week and, as a result, the state is poised to tell the federal government: "Come and Grope It!"

As the special session of the Texas Legislature got underway Tuesday, one of the bills which gained second life was HB 1937 by State Rep. David Simpson, a bill which criminalizes intrusive pat-downs by agents with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The law would require TSA to produce some type of probable cause before touching areas like genitals and breasts.

This NEEDS to pass, because the TSA is a joke. (Sorry, Examiner is an EXCERPT paper.)

Can we at least regulate how attractive the TSA agents are?

It’s refreshing to see states stand up to the Federal government.

Next up, tell the EPA to go pound sand.

We need to contact our state reps/sens to pass this bill this time around. Show them how angry we were at the last defeat.

Has air terrorist weaponry gotten so slick that the old fashioned wands are now useless? There has to be a more humane way of doing this.

When I had heard how the bill was killed in the Senate, I immediately emailed Dewhurst’s office. I am glad to see that I was not alone.

Call their bluff. If 2-3 states pass this TSA cannot cut off air traffic to them. It’ll disrupt the entire nation.

Let it go to SCOTUS. There are several critical Constitutional issues at stake - 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th & potentially the 14th.

Does interstate commerce supersede individual rights?

Do I refute my rights when I travel?

How much police power is allowed for vague threats?

This one worries me greatly as Scalia has consistently sided with statists on matters of police random stops and blockades.

Of course terrorist weaponry hasn’t gotten that much more sophisticated. The TSA simply wants a way to rationalize the behavior of their perverts and child molesters. Makes me wonder whether or not Napolitano is some kind of hideous pervert.

Do you still want an "attractive" TSA agent feeling up your little 7-year-old daughter?

I flew out of DFW yesterday and elected to take the grope over the irradiation.

The TSA agent asked if I wanted to do this in a private room and I told him “No. I want everyone to see you patting down a gray haired, 60 year old white guy.”

Afterward, I discovered that while they patted me down, they neglected to find a half full bottle of water I inadvertently left in my computer case from my flight in last week.

You are correct. The TSA is, in fact, a joke.

“Makes me wonder whether or not Napolitano is some kind of hideous pervert.”

It means she’s a fascist.

Fascists don’t have any respect or consideration for humanity. Hence they have no problem w/having people dealt w/like luggage.

It’s the same reason they bulldoze bodies into pits. Much more efficient than those individual and respectful burials w/flowers and family, and all that.

I am flabbergasted. I thought this was a dead deal. The Feds will never try to stop airline traffic to Texas. Half the flights heading to CA have to connect through Dallas. It would be logistically impossible. Texas and Utah are leading the way. Other states will follow.

In GA we have just passed an AZ style immigration law with e-verify for employment. We also passed voter ID to vote. Holder made a verbal threat to us but no lawsuit. They can’t sue everyone.

If the states stand up the Feds are toast.

Your lucky,
Last weekend I got porno-scanned, wanded, gropped and swabbed in MSP. On top of that the TSA agent was just waiting for me to say something so he could arrest me.

You have not experienced the full gamut of human existance until you willingly allow a gay man at SFO to put his hand inside your pants in full view of hundreds of people.

I have experienced this, and all that is left for me is the violent overthrow of an oppressive, totalitarian regime.

Of course, I kid when I say everyone involved in that decision should be executed.

Didn’t Texas drop this bill because the feds threatened to stop all flights from Texas?

Alex Jones names the man who stopped the bill the first time who just happens to be former CIA (surprise, surprise!).
