Well, there I have to differ with you. The system we have now has almost no semblance to the one the Founders gave us. It has become such a perverted, enlarged, excessively bureaucratic spend-spend-spend monster. Personally, I could not imagine Washington and Jefferson looking at this thing and approving. Just changing some of the people will not solve the root problem.

Me neither. I would love to see some of the conservative states leave and create a more conservative government, but I doubt it'll really happen. And if it ever did I would of course want it to be peaceful. The South wanted to be left alone too, but the North just wouldn't let them go. I don't want a war.

The ‘’What would I do if my state scenerio is a little over the top to say the least. A governor can call out the National Guard of his state, he can’t order air-strikes. Thanks much, but I don’t need ‘’sense knocked into me’’, certainly not by you. Secession, never. Thats like an alcoholic and what’s known as the ‘’geographical cure’’i.e moving to some other town or state isn’t going to stop you from drinking. Carving or attempting to carve out an entire new country in the middle of this continent, without a war, and even at that? Nah. A flight of pure fancy and you’re noticeably short on details of how you would do this except to go back and start paeons of praise about what the Founders meant. Yeah, I love those guys too, the wife and I were in DC three years ago, went up to see old Tom Jeff in his beautiful memorial, and old Georges too. The WW2 Memorial is right behind that big obelisk, beautiful to see. If it were up to me the only thing this government should consist of is the Legislative , Executive, the Judiciary, the military and the Post Office. After that, take every “US DEPT of”” and go through the alphabet and get rid of them all. But Balkanize America? Never. Hells Bells ‘’Vince’’, the Southwest is pretty much gone to Mexico as it is, how much more do you want to lose?
