Any lawyers out there? If bluecat6 is correct, anytime there is a published biography or history which has incorrect medical information (the patient didn't die of pneumonia, but of complications of alcoholism; the celebrity claims to be 29, but is in fact 36, etc.) hospitals would be required to correct the information and violate the HIPAA privacy rule. I have worked in and with hospitals since 1976, and I have never heard of this "duty to correct."
