Hypocritical resty. He wrote it as a teaching in a book that was eventually ok'd by the ga.
"Apostle" McConkie is not granted latitude for opinions in such writings as he is at ALL times a representative of the lds church. He presented this as a teaching - you apparently then must condemn him as a false teacher since he in his role as an 'apostle' taught this. Your prophet approved of these statements - that makes him an acessory to false teachings and thus a false teacher and prophet as well.
I have and am witnessing daily those who practice Love One Another and those negative antis who continues to be prideful and hold enmity towards others will reap what they sow.
Tell me then resty has the mormon church removed from the bom where it states that my church is the church of the devil (1 Nephi 14:10). Pretty negative from the mouth of mormons to me. Perhaps your prophet can get snip this part out of it - then perhaps one can believe your ooozy words of 'good neighbors'.
From MormonWiki Mormon Doctrine, by Bruce R. McConkie, was written in 1958. It was written when Bruce R. McConkie was a Seventy, a position of authority in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but lower in authority than an apostle or prophet.
The book was written without review or guidance from church leaders, and included a notation from him that he was entirely responsible for its content.
The book has never been an official source for church doctrine.
