There are several just like it, makes me think they WANT us to believe the born in Kenya story. I think of it as the bird-with-the-broken-wing strategy. This ‘bird’ runs around squawking ‘kenya-kenya-kenya!’ ... and when you get there, the ‘nest’ is empty.
It works - stops you from looking elsewhere.
Since I saw the light on the Auntie thread*, I have concluded that the “born in Kenya” is their last fall-back position. He could say “I didn’t know I was born in Kenya” or “I thought it was okay since my [purported] mother was American” etc.
It keeps the public’s eyes away from the deeper darker stuff.
