I don’t know about it being trendy. For me, it’s a Texan thing. I never used it before I moved here. Sometimes, it fits. Sometimes, it doesn’t.

I’m a native Texan (altho I live in FL now, not my fault, blame my husband) and I don’t use it. But, I have noticed it is everywhere now. Heck, even Neil Cavuto uses it. All the time. I wondered what the deal was. Guess I will have to search elsewhere for an answer. Thanks. I thought it was a hip hop thing, but I don’t think Neil is a hip hopper.
