The difference is that they have to post their own stuff because it is crap and nobody else will post it. Until it quits sucking and someone else wants to post it they need to post it without an excerpt as the only reason to excerpt is to try to draw people to their site. Even then it should be posted in full unless they get so popular or become such assholes that they threaten to sue FR unless they are excerpted.
In one of Jim's quotes posted numerous time NOT by you or the few other pimp supporters he states that it is not his desire to have bloggers drive traffic from FR. Were you unable to read or understand these quotes?

ALL threads must have a link. Therefore, on EVERY thread, readers may choose to click on the link and review the entire article or the site.
No one is FORCED to click on a link and leave FR (through the FR-created “redirecter” function) for even one second.
So how does the fact that someone may want to visit a blog, of their own free will, exercising their own intellectual power of decision-making, differ from the fact that someone may want to visit Fox News, or whatever, by clicking on the link of their own free will, exercising their own intellectual power of decision-making?
There is no difference, so it would be more honest if that argument were dropped.
Your sole argument is that, in your view, the posts are automatically garbage because “no one else will post them.” That may be true, but why is it intolerable to leave it up to your fellow freepers whether they think the post is garbage or not?
Personally, except for the usual things the mods zot and remove, which I fully support, I’d like to be left alone to make up my own mind what posts are garbage and which aren’t.
If posts are abusive or spam, they should be zotted. That is all.
Otherwise, let’s let the free market of ideas determine what threads live and die here.
And, btw, you’ve identified the blogger’s solution to all this: simply file a copyright complaint with FR and require excerpts. Why not? What’s wrong with protecting one’s ownership in one’s hard work? Why would you think people are “a-holes” for not wanting to give their work away free? (Although the blogger’s work is FREE to readers here; someone else is paying whatever pennies someone might earn on a personal blog.)
