Anybody who opens a thread and finds a sentence exerpt instead of a whole blog entry.
"I dont want to click on a thread and have this huge article load before Ive even decided FOR MYSELF if I want to read it or not."
Oh my gosh ... if you're clunking along with a computer that has trouble loading a HUGE amount of text, as in several paragraphs, I can certainly understand your upset. Bless your heart ... if you save $1/week, Sam's has some nice little notebooks and you could have one in a year or so.
"Apart from truly abusive posters (spam), we dont need rules or blog overlords to protect us from links we dont want to click on."
Feel free to address your concerns to the owner of the site. Apparently he likes a rule here and there.
And he doesn't seem too pissed off about Blogger Overlords either.
I guess you aren’t familiar with some of the modern, expensive, fast devices that nevertheless have small screens, which lead some people to prefer the ability to choose whether or not to load an entire document.
And I’m sorry that, though I’m not one of the people with a “clunky computer,” that you have no response but sarcastic snobbery to people who are in that situation.
Finally, again, no one forces anyone to click on a link simply because one “opens a thread and finds a sentence exerpt instead of a whole blog entry.” One is perfectly free to decide, hey, I’d like to see what that’s about, or that’s not interesting, or that sucks on principle and I won’t click on it.
Cheers!
