WOW...Great. He actually did what any enlisted man would do automatically.
Obama, 49, said: "I didn't tell most people here in the White House. I didn't tell my own family.
I wish that the operation was implemented without telling you.
"This was in the back of my mind all weekend."
The operation should have been front and center all weekend. What a jerk. 'Let me think for a moment. White House Correspondent Dinner or daring raid to get Osama. I'm kinda hungry, those Seals will be Okay'.
He said: "It was the longest 40 minutes of my life."
Your presidency will be the longest 4 years of my life.
It already seems like 40 years...
“WOW...Great. He actually did what any enlisted man would do automatically.”
I don’t think the Left has the same view/respect for national security matters that the typical enlisted man does. Valerie Plame blew her own cover to Joe Wilson on their first encounter. You’d think a serious “CIA operative” would be a bit more discreet—esepecially one who years later would be shrieking to anyone who listened “The White House blew my cover! That evil Karl Rove blew my cover!”
Obama’s cut from the same cloth. His not telling his wife (who had no “need to know” nor the clearance to know) was apparently a deviation from business as usual. What he’s implicitly saying is that all the other Top Secrets that the POTUS routinely encounters every day likely are routinely transmitted to the First Lady. But we’re to feel proud and perhaps pat him on the back for having the self-discipline not to do so in this one instance. Pardon me while I barf.
