The legislature doesn’t have the power to deny those permits. Therein lies the problem.

Abortion is already considered settled law by many. It shouldn’t be, but it is.

There is no other way to prevent Carhart from coming here. Period.

You’re basically saying you would rather have this butcher come to Iowa and set up shop. That’s deplorable.

No. I’m simply pointing out that the Constitution of the United States, and the constitution of Iowa, DEMAND the protection of EVERY innocent person’s life, and that EVERY PERSON be provided the equal protection of the laws.

These are imperatives that are premised in the first principles of our country. It’s not optional.

And your precious lawless legislation destroys those principles.

And the only justification you can give for this absolute breach of the oaths of each of our legislators, and executive branch officers, and judges, is fear of one particular mass murderer. Stop him, and everyone like him, don’t destroy the very raison d’etre of government.
