Music always brings back specific moments to me.

I remember driving a van to NYC to drop off a boyfriend’s friend at his college.

They were both asleep and I had “Who’s Next” cranking on the deserted Jersey Turnpike.
[bear in mind I’m right off the turnip truck and had seen very little of The Big World]

Just as this song came on, the Jersey refineries came into view on my left and innumerable stacks were shooting the most amazing flames far up into the pitch black 3am sky.

They went on for miles.

It probably doesn’t sound like much but to me, it was just...awesome and ethereal.

That was 31 years ago and I can still close my eyes and see it like it’s in right in front of me.

All songs are like that, for me.
Every one has a “moment” attached to it.

Of all my senses, my hearing is the one I fear losing, most.

I would shrivel up and die without my music.
Every song is a piece of my life.
