I just found it a couple days ago myself. I never bothered to research the “African isn’t a race” claim until then. I got tired of the same rumors with no answers. So, I spent ten minutes to look it up. It answers the question in my mind.
Many have disregarded it because of the source. So I may actually take the time to find the data on ancestry.com. The child was born in 1907, so it should be available somewhere. If I look and find it, I’ll post it and ping you to it.
Thank you. I have always figured he was born in HI but there was some reason he didn’t want the original out there, something embarrassing in it. No idea why he’s dragged his fee.
