Honestly, the “bigger than God “ complex hit Donald years ago and the pressure is mounting. The shrewd man he is and from past “interviews”, it would not surprise me if he created the controversy in support for Obama....a “twist” if you will. He will come out and say it is true, he was born in Hawaii yet offer no proof.
Just IMHO....

Is this setting up the “ I didn’t know what they were doing”
and “ didn’t want to embarass them” defense.

I have little doubt but that the Clintons and the Rahm Emanuel have helped to set up Donald’s investigators and findings for him. It’s really quite clever on their part and The Donald’s loving having his ego scratched just so.
Fine with me. Just so he resigns. I don’t care if he pleads ignorance and quietly leaves the scene.
As another FReeper recently posted, I have mixed feelings about this. Say Trump comes up with something so shocking about Obama that he’s forced to declare he’s not going to run in 2012. If the economy, gas prices and and unemployment are still bad news in 2012, he might be a weak opponent. But if he doesn’t run, who’s waiting in the bullpen? Hello Hillary. She may be a much stronger candidate.
Not only that, but in this very itnerview, he came right out and said “0bama COULD have been born in this country, but....”.
So if there’s still a chance that that’s true, then the whole thing’s off. All the libs need is a very remote chance that it’s possible, and the whole birther issue goes away.
Now I’m starting to doubt whether Trump has anything at all!
That said, I'm willing to move past this issue and focus on the fact that he's a COMMUNIST A$$HOLE BENT ON DESTROYING AMERICA.
With the Donald’s wealth and “connections” kidnapping someone close to him might be dangerous to the people doing it..
I share much of your viewpoint. Freepers who think that Trump is not absolutely serious about “taking out” Obama (and secondarily Romney) are seriously mistaken. Do I believe that Trump will knowingly do anything to hurt the advance of conservativsm in the US? Absolutely not.
Trump is like many American businessmen - profoundly apolitical. Politics has only been important to Trump in two ways: 1) an obstacle to conducting business (the primary explanation of his past political dontations which mirror those of almost any high end real estate developer), and 2) a way to generate cocktail party conversation and “look smart” (Note that these cocktail parties take place in New York, Palm Beach, LA and San Francisco. Hence the gratuitous liberal pronouncements) What has changed is the following: 1) Cocktail party liberalism as the law of the land is now costing Trump major money and limiting future opportunities, 2) Trump is a patriot and is profoundly angry over the decline of our country. Trump sees himself as an American and not a “citizen of the world”.
Trump is now devoting part of his considerable marketing skills and immense ego toward restoring American greatness and redeeming his legacy from bad decisions in the past (support of Obama being the chief mistake).
On what do I base my speculations? I have worked closely with many large real estate developers and think that I understand the midset. Also, my best friend is a former director of a number of Trump companies and a close personal friend of Trump. I don’t know Trump directly, but I don’t think my analysis is created solely “between my ears”, nor based only on media spin.
Trump is Hillary’s Stalking Horse, but I don’t care....he’s giving the Bamster HEARTBURN!!!! GO DONALD!!!
I have to say I am just loving the way Donald gets these Liberals frothing at the mouth over the BC issue. Those 2 CNN anchors were beside themselves. Its just hysterical. I can’t get enough of it. I am just praying he really has something on Barry.
What’s so funny is CNN was saying they would make a deal with Donald to not ask anymore questions about the Birth Certificate; Donald agrees; then they immediately turn around and ask about the Birth Certificate.
Oh please....Obama has the CZARS and many other things WITHOUT CONGRESS’S APPROVAL AT ALL!! He LAUGHS at Congress!!

I agree, and as I said on another thread, the ‘ideas’ he is spouting about ‘taking the oil from OPEC’ and telling China they will do this or that...is a bufoonish attempt to get people like us in his camp...in his arrogance, he thinks he can convince conservatives despite his leftish background, using red meat rhetoric. DT is either a Perot-like stalking horse or a complete idiot megalomaniac. Don’t think he could’ve amassed the fortune he has if he was latter, do you?

You don’t understand the game. This is the time to sit back and watch the squirming begin. Suddenly, people begin to say things about issues that may have never been considered because of their guilty consciences and fear of what is known. You see it in movie plots all the time.
Nope. Just sit back and see what they say and do. They give themselves away at this point. It is part of the strategy.
