NO, repeat, NO long-form B.C. from 1961 designates anyone as an “African.” The ONLY terms in use at that time were “Negro” and “Colored.”

The COLB is a rank, amateurish forgery.

Oh yeah... you got that right. ... you are correct... NO ONE ever heard of the term African American... the reference was “Negro” or “colored” and in the mid to late 1960’s “black”.

I agree, and questioned the term “African, which has nothing to do with race, but some shot it down, claiming that one
could claim whatever they wanted for race.
I would call him “mulatto”, or “mixed” (Caucasian/Negro)
