Chris Matthews welcomed Roger Simon and Michael Steele to his show to discuss the seriousness of Donald Trump as a potential presidential candidate and what his triumph might say about the Republican party. Simon suggested Trumps early poll success is simply a result of celebrities doing well in politics, but warned Trump that New York celebrities arent as well liked across the country. Matthews disagreed, thinking Trump will have lasting appeal, especially with unsophisticated people.
Matthews also told Steele that he thinks Trumps talk has changed the Republican party, suggesting:
I think the Republican party . . . is not the George Will party of the cerebral, lets look at the issues, reduce the deficit. Its become Im not saying necessarily an ethnic party but a kind of a crazy, tribalist, lets get those people, we dont like Obama, well throw what we can at him. Theyre so angry they dont want to think.
Steeele disputed that a majority of his party cares about the birth certificate and instead explained Trumps popularity simply as a result of him being exciting. And in a final unrelated jab at Republicans, which was at least humorous for its randomness, Matthews joked with Steele that his rich Republican friends dont want to hire people and would prefer to hire robots.
So what did Mr. Mathews think we were before? Sane and cohesive?
I can’t believe this clown is still on TV. This is the one that gets physically excited when he looks at Obama. What a weirdo!
You need to cut off CNBC all together. It’s nothing but garbage.
There goes Pissy Chrissy... projecting again... he really needs to find a good therapist and work out his issues.
If it were not for articles citing the madness of this drunk, no one would have a clue that Matthews is even alive.

Exactly. This whole "George Will cerebral" bit is a total straw man. Matthews hates anyone to the right of Che Guevara.
I’d rather be “tribal” and “crazy” rather than getting a hard on and tingle up my leg looking at a limp-wristed p-Resident.
Trump is helping: Where’s The Birth Certificate AMAZON #1

My new tagline seems tailor-made for this story.
Much like the Dix** Chi***....
When FR stops talking about Ch*** Matt****
He will disappear.
The fact that Matthews has any friends at all is amazing enough in itself.
The fact that this slimeball has any Republican friends just goes to show that we need to be serious about exposing RINOs and reducing their influence to the greatest extent possible.
Wow Chris! I’ve heard projection before, but.... Just wow Chris!
“Wheres The Birth Certificate AMAZON #1”
Does anyone have an email address for DT’s people, to send info to? And seriously, someone needs to let him know about this book - I bet he’s not familiar with it. But it could be a lot of help in his investigative efforts and save him or his people considerable time.
Matthews thinks; but its what he thinks about, thats scary..
Matthews was referring to Steele’s “rich Republican friends”, not his own, I think.
Perhaps this was the whole reason Trump is even feigning at running for the nomination.
Please tell me that Roger Simon did NOT go on MSNBC and discuss politics at all! If so, I have lost all hope for PJ Media...
