People are doing just what they did for Obama and Perot and some others — they are ignoring the warning signs and reading into him what they want to see.

Excuse me, there is no getting around:
A: universal health care
B: wealth tax
C: big government as solution as a life long reflex
D: pro union
E: trade tariffs
F: reaching across the aisle is a good thing.

If you like all of those things, that’s your right and that’s fine. But that doesn’t strike me as FREEPish.

L’ll take this on, because there is getting around these items.

A: universal health care

Depends on how you define that. My understanding is that Trump has a plan, or will propose one soon, that solves our health insurance problems. Ignoring it doesn't fix it. He wants to repeal or defund Obamacare.

B: wealth tax

I think you are referring to his idea of a one time millionaire's tax to wipe out the national debt completely all at once. I want to hear more about this. It might be a good idea. Details please. Fiscal problems would be solved if we no longer were paying interest on the debt.

C: big government as solution as a life long reflex

I don't understand this one, so I can't comment

D: pro union

The Donald builds very large commercial buildings which require union labor. He can't publically oppose unions. I would like to hear details and his positions on union activity. Pro union, anti union, it just isn't that simple. Again, Details.

E: trade tariffs

Good idea! Slap a big tariff on China and anyone else taking advantage of us. Vendors NEED customers. In business, the customer is always right. Why should it be any different with trade. Make them all BEG us to be their customers on OUR terms.

F: reaching across the aisle is a good thing

This depends on what you mean by “reaching across the aisle”. Our legislation process is set up in the constitution to be this way. Without veto proof majorities in both houses, legislation is impossible without compromise, (reaching across the aisle).
