I’m sorry, I didn’t realize FR was a job that required strategic analysis or investment banker insight. I use FR as a place for news and to generally discuss how I feel or think like many others on here. Sheriff J is a crook - and a trumpster on many levels (his antics, and dressing up prisoners in pink jumpsuits). He has been the subject of many Federal inquiries; and these haven’t just happened under President Obama. Having just moved from AZ, I will say he has been losing a lot of support there because folks are catching on to his game. Generally speaking the best law or crime reducing effort that has happened in AZ are the relaxed gun laws. Other then that Sheriff J is a publicity whore and his crazy methods have not really produced a drop in statewide crime that has shown any real results statistically.

How many county sheriffs in any state have an overall effect on statewide crime statistics? And there's that word, crook, again. To me, that means someone who takes what is not his, or lies to enable taking by others for his own benefit. Since Sheriff Arpaio is percevied to be a right winger, would the leftist media not have published even the slightest hint of misbehavior? They certainly bitched enough about his treatment of prisoners.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but based on the evidence presented I'd have to vote not guilty.
