In all, Trump has contributed to 96 candidates running for federal political office since the 1990 election cycle, the Center finds. Only 48 of the recipients exactly half were Republicans at the time they received their contribution, including ex-Gov. Charlie Crist (I-Fla.) and ex-Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.), who both of whom received their Trump contributions as Republicans.
Since the 1990 election cycle, the top 10 recipients of Trumps political contributions number six Democrats and four Republicans. Embattled Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), who was censured last year by his U.S. House colleagues, has received the most Trump money, totaling $24,750. The most recent contribution from Trump to Rangel was a $10,000 gift during the 2006 election cycle.
The top Republican recipient of Trumps money is Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who has collected $13,600 from the billionaire magnate, the second most of any politician. Trump did not contribute to McCain during the 2010 election cycle, during which the former presidential candidate was facing re-election.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has received the fourth-largest amount of Trumps contributions, including $4,800 in the successful 2010 campaign against Tea Party favorite Sharron Angle. In total Trump has contributed $10,400 to Reid.
However, of the nearly $420,000 Trump has donated to committees, the largest recipient has been the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee with $116,000 or more than one fourth of his total contributions to all party and political action committees.

Of course it is much ado about nothing. You take it with a grain of salt because there are some here who want ONLY their candidate or bust. So if you are backing any other candidate, they get bent out of shape. It is called character assassination, Mud slinging, Going against Reagan’s 11th, take your pick.
I am for any one who wants to run throw their hat in the ring, and have a good debate and let the best man/woman win. Digging up phony junk on anyone who wants to run in the primaries will only help the Kenyan Socialist in WH.
I agree with you given the march toward socialism that America’s been heading in for a while. Putting all of one’s eggs in the basket of capitalism is foolhardy for those who need to wheel and deal with a massive, controlling government. Does Trump have any desire to roll that back? Dunno. Doubtful.
I’d also say that the GOP’s donations to Democrats have been even greater than Trump’s by way of “bi-partisan compromise.”
I’m not so sure that’s what he’s after...to split the party...What I do know is there are plenty here on FR who will watch and see how this begins to pan out as he moves along.
Personally I love his taking aim at Obama...enjoying that a lot....shaking up Obamas team is always a good thing..and he just may be stepping out now to confound the Democrates...they have no play room in who’s repreenting the democrates...we all know Bo will run now...but Republicans can play with their heads on who might or not run...and the show is interesting and fun right now.
Yep, I agree..and further I suspect those he's done business with will also be torched with a burner by some....but if you even look at REagan he had some associations that were questionable...so that's not enough for me to put down a candidate...but it's going to be a fun year with Trump Trumping thru it!
In other words, he will do what's necessary for his own personal success, irrespective of the collateral damage to America resulting from all those Rats being elected.
God knows what we would have seen here on FR if Charlie Sheen had started attacking Obama on the BC.
Why would he want to demolish his business success by acting stupid? He employs thousands of people. He operates in NY state where republicans are as rare as budget surpluses in Washington DC. NY is loaded with democrats who must be bought off to stop them from throwing hurdles in his path.
And do you seriously believe the pittance he gave to all the politicians has make or break effect on any of them? If yes, sign up for Logic101 asap.
And finally, Trump does not owe the GOP anything. He has received not a penny from RNC or any other source. He is beholden to no special interests. Can you name one politician currently in the race who has not received cash from some special interest? Trump is contemplating a run for president because he says he does not want the country go the way of PIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Greece & Spain), not because of cash infusion from special interests.
and you know that how? Perhaps you are privy to all of his personal finances and his financial records?
Common sense trumps googling!
A person who has NEVER contested for any office on republican ticket does not get funded by the RNC.
