Interesting. Now that I look at it, I see an odd shadow, very dark, directly behind her L elbow. On the air? On the grass? Do photos using a flash bulb do that? I am 100% ignorant about all things photographic.

Yes, it looks like a 110 camera with flashbulb and it’s taken at night, directly on. That’s why the shadow is so dark, only light is probably from the bulb.
