That’s what he TOLD the reporter. And I will keep saying it until you find a document that conclusively shows WHEN AND WHERE HE ENTERED THE US...or as long as it takes for the cows to come home, as we say in Australia.
That is an ASSUMPTION you are making.
Reporters get background information from more that one source and Obama had been in HI for three years at that point. It was NOT a quote. The reporters story could have been edited and “2 years” could get typeset as “seven years” going from notes to print.
Yes, it is a discrepancy in the narrative, but you have reported no confirmation for your 1955 theory except for the vague decades-old Massena memories which don't claim 1955 either, IIRC.
YOU STILL PROTEST TOO MUCH. And if you go back to the Maseno school article I posted, you will find that the teacher was NOT relying on a decades old memory...he gave the details to the interviewer FROM THE RECORD!

That is pretty childish.
How could Maseno school, which Obama Sr. left in 1953, have a RECORD of Obama Sr. leaving Kenya in 1955???
Obama Sr. is assumed (not quoted) as saying two contradictory things to two different reporters. Why choose the “seven year” out of Kenya account that is uncorroborated over the “arrived from Kenya” in 1959 which extensively corroborated by Kezia and two kids?
Here is what reporter John Griffen actually wrote:
“Obama, who has been away from Kenya for seven years, said he plans to go home after finishing at Harvard...”
...compared to what reporter Kirozawa says of Obama:
“He clerked several years in the capital city of Nairobi to save enough for college education and picked the University of Hawaii when he read in an American magazine about its racial tolerance.”
Unlike the 1962 Griffin reporting, the 1959 Kirozawa reporting is contemporaneous to Obama's arrival in Kenya and cannot be accused of being planted by Obama operatives or being part of a concocted "Dreams" narrative. Here is a great investigative opportunity for somebody:
Identify the 1959 (or maybe 1958) American magazine which changed history by rhapsodizing about Hawaii's racial tolerance! That could also corroborate Obama Sr.’s story.
Just came to mind again...in the book THE ROCKEFELLERS, David Horowitz the co-author places a footnote on a page that indicates there were something like over 30,000 foreign students sponsored by the Rockefeller trust, to study in the US. Many were from Kenya.
When was that?
IN THE EARLY FIFTIES.
It’s quite possible that is how the kenyan obtained his ‘business administration major’ as quoted in the article.

When WND questioned Toutonghi not about the relation of her own daughter's age to the babysitting she did, but about the months she babysat for Barack Obama Jr., she responded that the babysitting occurred in the spring of 1962, just before her husband bought a house and their family moved out of the 516 13th Ave. E. address in Seattle's Capitol Hill area.
The Polk 1961-1962 directory also listed Dunham at the Capitol Hill address, supporting the conclusion she moved to Seattle to attend the extension classes.

Charlette Le Fevre identified ANNA OBAMA as Stanley Ann Dunham. Mary did not. Mary called her by the name in the directory.
Charlette Le Fevre adds 18 months to July 1959 and comes out with ‘January or February 1962’ - then adds a correction dated 9/03/09 making the child older, contradicting Mary’s own recollection.

Of Obobs were coaching Toutonghi, they would have silenced her because she places SADO in WA at the address on SADO’s transcript which KILLS the Dreams narrative.
There is no corroboration for her nearly 50 year old memory that her own baby was 18 months old when she babysat SADO.
I am not the one relying on this statement made by a woman who repeatedly says she is having trouble remembering the exact dates in these 50 year old interviews.
What she claims to remember corroborates the U of WA transcripts. Her memory would never stand up in court without corroboration. There is corroboration for the U. of WA transcripts in the U. of HI transcripts.
The indirect calculation of a January 1961 babysitting date or the existence of an alternate Anna Obama who is not SADO is corroborated by nothing.
BTW, Trump is going with the SADO in WA in Sept 1961 narrative because, apparently, he found it to be credible.
