They love it because it’s an easy way to transition into governmental treatment centers for nationalized healthcare.
The republicans were idiots on this budget, and they got played. Instead of picking a battle where THE ENTIRE FRIGGING COUNTRY IS READY TO FIGHT ALONGSIDE THEM (Obamacare), they chose to make their final stand on an issue that, to many swing voters, defines them as religious zealots and has no bearing whatsoever on stopping the relentless onslaught of socialism.
Way to go.
This says to me that they were not serious.
You fight your initial battles on ground where the enemy is weakest, use those victories to weaken the enemy further, and only THEN do battle on ground that the enemy will fight hardest for.
