The friend's email recounted her dire financial straits and history of medical illnesses. Planned Parenthood, she wrote, was the place she went for her birth control...Really? How much can it cost to tell her to keep her legs together?

What kills me is this myth that “women” won’t have anyplace to go go get their contraception.
Contraception is available at any medical clinic and most hospitals. These places also serve the poor.
There are even charitable groups that have invested in mobile medical units (converted buses) that travel to low income neighborhoods. These groups deserve funding.

There is group that won’t have easy access however...minors. If PP clinics shut down - they are usually within walking distance of your local high school. Young girls will have a harder time signing out of study hall and getting their abortions and pills without mom and dad knowing.
