Report: 500-600 Ballots "Found" in Wisconsin
Pundit Press ^ | 4/7/11 | Aurelius

With challenger Joanne Kloppenburg up by exactly 204 votes in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, a new find could have tremendous impact. It is now being reported that 500-600 ballots were found in Waukesha County.

More importantly for the election, Waukesha County went 73% for Incumbent David Prosser. If these ballots break the same way, by way of simple mathematics, this would be the result (assuming they found exactly 500 ballots):

Prosser gains 365. Kloppenburg gains 135.

That would be a difference of 230 votes, which would give Prosser a 26-vote lead. This could have massive implications.

Currently, the totals stand at:

Kloppenburg- 740,090 Prosser- 739,886

Considering all of the other funny business that has been going on, this "found" ballot box could provide yet another twist.

I have seen this same claim, based on the same source on several sites.

I hope GOP, Walker admin (state police, its DoJ) and Prosser campaign are looking into this aggressively. In the past, GOP has simply accepted fraud.

This is going to take months.

The election will be "certified" next Tuesday.

Prosser will call for a "re-count" next Wednesday.

The attorneys for both sides are gearing up for the legal battles to follow....

We're given to understand that the unions have hired the same attorney who won al franken's re-count battle in MN to work for kloppenburg.

Justice Prosser has his own team of legal eagles.

So this should be quite a fight.

Are there...or have there been..."improprieties"??? You bet.

In Dane county (solidly communist), the "over-vote" for kloppenburg was over 10,500.

By "over-vote" it means that the Dane County commissioner and Dane County Board of Supervisor candidates both received 10,500 less total votes than those cast for kloppenburg. Stated a different way, there were over 10,500 ballots cast in Dane County where the vote was for kloppenburg....and not one other item on the ballot.

Possible??? Sure

Probably??? Nope...not by a long shot.

So...keep watching....should be lots of fun.

Oh...the makeup of the current SC in WI is 4 "conservatives" to 3 "dem/lib/prog/pops". If the election results ultimately hold for kloppenburg, the mix will be 3 "conservatives" vs 4 "dem/lib/prog/pops"

Exactly. The Dems have played the ‘found’ ballot game so many times, they can squawk, but they risk opening a can of worms.

I’m sorry. I am on an election board and for the life of me, I just don’t understand how you just “find” all those ballots. I don’t care where it is. They weren’t “found”, they were manufactured!

For the sake of WI and for Gov. Walker...we're hoping to retain Justice Prosser.

kloppenburg is pure poison...union backer, dem/lib/prog/pop....no bench experience....anti-business.

There are a couple of questions that I have always had, and, since you are on a board of elections, I would like to take the opportunity to ask you, if I may:

One, why does it take so long to report. I mean, times up, look at the tallys, count the ballots, check the math, phone the state capital. Checked, rechecked, reported. Shouldn't take more than an hour, two at the most, right?

Secondly. You know how many people come in to vote. You add up the vote totals. If the vote totals were less than the number of people coming in, wouldn't you try to find the discrepancy before reporting? Can you ever envision a legitimate scenario where ballots would be stored in a janitor's closet?

Not to throw a wet blanket on the under vote, but... Last August I was in a primary challenge for a county commissioner seat. My precinct was also in a 5 way challenge for a city council seat.(commissioner seats overlap in the city).
The under vote was 30%. Michigan also had a highly contested governors race. Only about 70% of the people voted for council and commission and ballot proposals, 30% only voted for governor. By the way, I lost by 10% so if the undervotes had actually voted the outcome could have been different.

Oops. Looks like it’s time for the Democrats to ‘find’ a couple of ballot boxes in Milwaukee or Madison to make up for it.
