The battery theory is one idea. Another idea is that he may have discovered a new way to create energy.

I am not advocating we should all invest in this or that we should all jump on this band wagon.

However, when you consider the possibility that this device works as he claims and what that would mean to the world, you have to look at it seriously.

From what I have read, and I am no physicist, the University has gone about this in a very deliberate way. A very scientific apporach of testing, review from within the University dept. of physics and then bringing in several noted experts as well as the press in deomnstrations that allow almost full access. The only part of the plant that is not being divulged is the reactor itself beacause of proprietary purposes. There is no battery that I know of that can sustain the output for as long as this reactor can.

If it is indeed “just” a battery, then the battery technology he has invented is miraculous in itself.

In regards to this being a financial scam I don’t really buy it.

The University made him fund all the research himself. The 1MW reactor is being built by a company with an board of directors that is independent of Rossi.

If he is indeed fooling us we will no longer call them “Ponzi” schemes. We’ll call them “Rossi” schemes. Because he sure is “fooling” a lot of people. Either that or he has done what he says he has done.

One other note:

I did try to find George Kelley and was not able to locate him. However the blog you linked seemed much more shady than the University of Blogna’s own annoucements. And the U of Blogna is one of if not the oldest institutions of learning in the world. For what it’s worth.

Please do not think I am attacking you. I would love to hear if you have any more info!

Fancy formated websites don’t mean anything, everything discussed on the blog is readily verifiable verses the one originally linked.

Someone pointed out, in many cases the group of scientists consisted of ‘one’ Rossi. Read the article with a critical eye.

It is almost funny.

You have to translate

av Göran Ericsson, docent i tillämpad kärnfysik, Uppsala universitet is who is identified in this article, different guy

This guy is actually at Uppsala, but he is an lecturer not a professor. Looks like he is working on becoming one.

Swedish Skeptical Society Does exist, but if you translate they sound very very skeptical. Not at all agreeing with the article. Saying that he wouldn't let them perform any direct measurements.

They did go to see it, but so far, looks like they give it a thumbs down.

QUOTE FROM THEM:
"But personally I would not bet a few of my saving pennies on this invention and its inventor."
