After Obamas extreamism, the ruthless squeezing of the planet Dunes spice/taxpayer money they will be begging for a moderate Hillary to lighten our chains. I bet she would even offer a meaningless tax cut. Why else would there be a poll saying Hillary Clinton Favorable Near Her All-Time High while at the same time the Birther issue is getting more play? Just a thought.

I know. I know. I am a geek. This has been in my head for a while, I just want to see my fellow Freepers kick this thought around and see what comes of it.

I have been saying this before since 2008.

I don’t think that the electorate is that easily manipulated. It might work out that way, but it isn’t deliberate strategy.

I don't think so; at least, I hope not. I think that many on the Left saw their chance for a communist coup d'etat, and they took it; and that Obama was their ideal puppet. I think they saw Hillary as too independent. And, though Hillary is every bit as much of an Alinsky-ite communist as Obama, she's too much of a political animal and wouldn't have the will to do many of the things that Obama is willing to do.
I see Obama as the Baron Harkonnen, Soros as the Padishah Emperor, and Unions as the Guild. At best, Hillary is the Emperor's soon-to-be-powerless Bene Gesserit witch.

I coincidentally just re-read Dune about a week ago. It amazed me how different my reaction was to all of the Islamic references, as compared to when I last read it (pre-2001). I had a hard time seeing Paul as the hero when he was constantly referred to as the “Mahdi”.

Hence my Dune analogy. I think that doing a lot of damage IS his job.

I guess it was the Hillary as Feyd Rautha part that I question. For all I know, you’re right; I just don’t see it at this point.
